Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that the Romania–Ukraine agreement on defence against drones will be ready “soon”.
“We will do our part to help. For example, today I signed an agreement with the President of Lithuania, a drone agreement; we have done this in the Middle East too, and we have also signed with several European countries that are ready. I believe we will certainly do this with the Romanian side; we are working on it. It primarily includes our expertise, our experienced people whom we send to various countries. In other words, defence know-how. That is what we have, and I think we are ready. I believe the document will be ready soon and we will do what is best,” the leader in Kyiv said.
He took part on Wednesday in the Bucharest 9 (B9) Summit at Cotroceni Palace, where he spoke at the meeting and also held bilateral talks.
Zelensky said that the partnership with Romania “is very important”.
