Save Romania Union (USR) chairman Catalin Drula said on Sunday night that the big stake for the presidential election is for the United Right Alliance (ADU) to give a different head of state, given that the citizens are „disgusted” with politics.
„People are super disappointed and have a dislike attitude towards politics, because (…) they feel that they have been betrayed, here is the big stake for the presidential election – to give a different president to Romania for the parliamentary election as well. Think that we are talking about a political force, which is the USR, now we are in a larger alliance. (…) A lot of the political vote comes together with the mayor, through networks, through other things. There will be a real debate in the Romanian society, which can no longer be avoided in the presidential election, about what kind of president we want,” said Catalin Drula.
He pointed out that the United Right Alliance is made in the name of values, principles and the mission of giving Romania a modern alternative.
Regarding the results of the local election in Bucharest, Catalin Drula is convinced that Nicusor Dan won a new mandate as general mayor of Bucharest, but also that ADU will have over 35% of the votes for the General Council.
