Black Friday 2024/ Transactions of RON 400 million as of noon

The total value of the volumes traded on Black Friday as of noon reached RON 400 million, according to data updated by the online payment processor PayU GPO Romania.

In the reference interval, the number of transactions stood at approximately 610,000, of which 67% paid for by one click, and the average value of the shopping cart was RON 655, almost five times higher than a normal day. The average shopping basket in instalments compared to a normal day was about RON 1,000 lei, 55% higher than on a regular day.

The three largest transactions were RON 75,049 at 09:20hrs; RON 69,733 at 01:16hrs and RON 43,379 at 08:53hrs.

In the golden minute, about 8,200 transactions were recorded.

In the top categories of purchased products are IT&C, Home & Deco, Beauty, children’s items and toys.

PayU GPO Romania, an online payment services provider, is part of the global PayU GPO group that operates in over 40 countries.
