Romania needs correct measures, applied fairly, and a real, not fake, social partnership, claims the National Trade Union Bloc (BNS), in a post on its Facebook page, in which it says that it will come up with a set of proposals to defend workers’ rights, but also to increase state budget revenues at Friday’s meeting of the National Tripartite Council for Social Dialogue.
„Today, at the Romanian Government, the National Trade Union Bloc was represented by Vice President Mircea Burlacu at the meeting with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, along with the other four representative trade union confederations. The NBS sent a clear message to the Romanian Prime Minister: compliance with the law regarding the convening of the National Tripartite Council for Social Dialogue and the real negotiation of measures targeting employees, together with the social partners! The NBS remains firmly in its position: Romania needs correct measures, applied fairly, and a real, not fake, social partnership! Tomorrow, July 4, 2025, the NBS representatives will participate in the CNTDS meeting with a set of proposals to defend workers’ rights, but also to increase state budget revenues,” the post states.
BNS also drew attention to some essential aspects that are not on the Government’s agenda, namely: cutting the perks and allowances of board members, reducing huge subsidies for political parties, eliminating exaggerated lump sums for parliamentarians, correctly taxing the transfer prices of multinationals, immediately increasing the level of royalties and reviewing existing contracts, applying fair tax treatment to all forms of income from dependent work.
