Bogdan Aurescu: Romania to continue multidimensional support for Ukraine

Published on

Romania will continue its multidimensional support for Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, said on Monday, before attending the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, according to Agerpres.

He recalled that „we are approaching the marking of one year since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine”.

„As far as Ukraine is concerned, I think the most important message of today’s meeting is that the European Union and its member states will stand by Ukraine and continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary so that Ukraine wins the war. I will express today full support for a quick adoption of the tenth package of sanctions, for continued support under the European Peace Facility and at the same time I think it is important that we should adopt at the end of this week, in New York, by a large majority, the UN General Assembly resolution on peace in Ukraine, and I think it is important to have a large majority to give legitimacy to this approach,” said the head of Romanian diplomacy.
