PNL President Ilie Bolojan says that, by proposing Siegfried Muresan as Romania’s prime minister, our country has a chance to stay on the right path: with reformist governance.
- “By proposing Siegfried Muresan as Romania’s prime minister, our country has a chance to stay on the right path: with reformist, responsible and firmly pro-European governance.
Siegfried Mureșan is a politician with vision, deeply committed to Romania’s interests and with considerable European stature. I am pleased that President Nicușor Dan has committed to this course by nominating him.
I am convinced that Prime Minister-designate Siegfried Mureșan will propose to Parliament a strong team and a governing programme capable of responding to the challenges of the period ahead and to expectations regarding the reform and modernisation of Romania.
Romania urgently needs a government. Together with our partners in USR and UDMR, we will immediately begin political talks to build a majority and form the new government as quickly as possible.
Given the current political configuration, the task is not an easy one. I have confidence in the team that will be formed and in the ability of the Mureșan government to meet Romanians’ expectations,” Bolojan said in a Facebook post.
