Border police prevents four Syrian citizens from illegally leaving the country

Published on

Four Syrian citizens who were discovered by the Arad border police while trying to cross the border illegally into Hungary, on foot, through a field, in the Nadlac area, are currently facing a criminal investigation.

The group of migrants was observed last night by the policemen from the Nadlac Border Police Sector. The four people were only 200 metre away from the border line and were moving on foot, towards the neighbouring country.

„Since the foreign citizens in questions could not justify their presence in the area, they were taken to the headquarters of the policy sector for further checks. Following the checks carried out, our colleagues established that the four people are Syrian citizens between the ages of 21 and 31,” the Arad Border Police informed on Friday.

Foreigners are being investigated for attempting to fraudulently cross the state border.
