President Nicușor Dan has announced consultations with the parliamentary parties and political formations on Thursday to designate the candidate for the post of prime minister.
- President of Romania Nicușor Dan will invite the presidents and representatives of the parties and political formations in the Romanian Parliament to Cotroceni Palace for consultations on designating the candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
The consultations will take place on Thursday, 17 September 2026, according to the following schedule:
- 09:00 – Social Democratic Party (PSD);
- 09:30 – Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR);
- 10:00 – National Liberal Party (PNL);
- 10:30 – Save Romania Union (USR);
- 11:00 – Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR);
- 11:30 – Parliamentary Group of National Minorities;
- 12:00 – S.O.S. Romania Party (SOS);
- 12:30 – Party of Young People (POT);
- 13:00 – United for Romania parliamentary group;
- 13:30 – PACE – First Romania parliamentary group;
- 14:00 – Unaffiliated MPs.
