PNL President Ilie Bolojan announced that his party will not vote for the Tomac government.

“Why did we make this decision? First of all, because given the situation in which we have a government without explicit political support, therefore without explicit parliamentary support, this government does not have the strength to carry out the reforms Romania needs and therefore is not a viable governing solution at this time.

A government without political support can hope for nothing more than survival. A government without political and parliamentary support is weaker than a minority government.

In the conditions in which such a government comes forward with a measure, as are many of those that any incoming government will have to implement as a result of the deficits, Romania’s commitments and our economic situation, which will be difficult to take on, this government will be left alone because no one will support it,” Bolojan said.
