The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained 9.05 billion lei in market capitalization, representing an increase of 2.72%, during last week, while the value of stock transactions rose 17.05% compared to the previous week.
According to data published by BVB, the stock market capitalization reached 341.757 billion lei for the period from December 2 to 6, 2024, up from 332.703 billion lei in the period from November 25 to 29, 2024.
Stock transactions generated a turnover of 515.216 million lei, up from 440.149 million lei in the previous week.
The best trading day at BVB was Friday, December 6, when a turnover of 137.25 million lei was recorded, while the weakest day was Monday, December 2, with transactions amounting to 52.692 million lei.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, closed the week at 16,650.41 points, up 1.87% compared to the previous week.
The most traded stocks on the main BVB segment were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions totaling 157.015 million lei, and a price increase of 4.73%.
Other top traded stocks include those of OMV Petrom, with 69.731 million lei (up 1.05%), and Hidroelectrica, with 61.895 million lei (up 0.75%).
The most significant price increases were recorded by Bermas shares (+10.29%), Alumil Rom Industry (+9.27%), and Mecanica Ceahlau (+6.73%).
On the other hand, significant declines were seen in the shares of Carbochim, down by 17.91%, followed by those of Comcm Constanta (-11.96%) and Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-11.84%).
