Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Friday’s trading session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s trading session higher, with transactions of 2.35 million RON (472,774 EUR) carried out in the first 30 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, went up by 16%, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares rose 0.12%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers advanced by 0.17%, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK, was up 0.07%.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies went up 0.28%, and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG gained 0.36%.

According to BVB information, the biggest increases in the value of shares were recorded by Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (+2.35%), Romgaz (+1.45%) and BRD (+1%).

Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Sinteza (-14.49%), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-13.04%) and Prefab (-8.79%).
