Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s trading session higher, with turnover at 3.8 million lei (769,480 euros) after 30 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, registered an appreciation of 0.21%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, was up 0.23%.

Meanwhile, the BET-XT blue-chip broad index of the 25 most liquid stocks increased 0.12%, while the benchmark for investment fund returns, BET-BK, went down 0.18%.

The SIF’s BET-FI index of SIFs was down 0.15% and BET-NG, the index of 10 energy and utilities companies, rose 0.11%.

According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by SSIF BRK Financial Group (+3.25%), Prebet (+1.88%) and One United Properties (+1.27%).

On the other hand, Romcab (-6.08%), Electroaparataj (-6.06%) and Romgaz (-2.09%) shares were down.
