The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on most indices on Thursday, with the value of transactions reaching 6.68 million lei (1.34 million euro) 30 minutes after the trading session started.
The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered an increase of 0.29%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks at BVB, recorded a rise of 0.32%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, opened 0.27% higher, while the benchmark for investment funds’ return, BET-BK, rose 0.52%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of SIFs, decreased 0.02%, and BET-NG, the index of the ten companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded a decrease of 0.05%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.10%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in stock values were recorded by One United Properties (+4.57%), Turism Felix (+4.35%), and Transelectrica (+4.28%).
On the other hand, the stocks of AAGES (-2.78%), Prebet Aiud (-0.94%), and Safetech Innovations (-0.82%) were in decline.
