Bucharest stock exchange opens higher in final trading session of the week

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened with gains across nearly all indices on Friday, with trading volume reaching 7.24 million RON (approximately 1.42 million EUR) 40 minutes after the start of transactions.

The main BET index, tracking the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.77%, while the BET-Plus index, covering the 43 most liquid BVB shares, rose 0.73%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which tracks the 25 most liquid titles, gained 0.63%, while the investment fund benchmark BET-BK increased by 0.78%.

The BET-FI index for financial investment companies (SIFs) rose 0.24%, and BET-NG, covering 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, was up 0.96%.

Meanwhile, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, increased 0.19%.

According to BVB data, the largest share price gains were recorded by Carbochim (+15%), Armatura (+14.58%), and SIF Hoteluri (+4.85%).

On the other hand, the biggest declines were seen in Santierul Naval Orsova (-4.79%), IAR Brasov (-2.11%), and Farmaceutica Remedia (-1.69%). AGERPRES
