Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on Friday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Friday, with turnover amounting to 14.85 million lei 2.92 million euro after thirty minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which shows the performance of the twenty most liquid companies, was up 0.73 percent, and the BET Plus index, which tracks the forty three most liquid shares on the exchange, recorded an increase of 0.71 percent.

The extended blue chip index BET XT, of the twenty five most liquid securities, gained 0.68 percent, while the benchmark for investment funds, BET BK, appreciated by 0.13 percent.

The BET FI index of the financial investment companies recorded an increase of 1.11 percent, and BET NG, the index of the ten companies in the energy and utilities sector, registered an advance of 0.98 percent.

The BET AeRO index, which includes twenty representative companies on the AeRO market, was up 0.32 percent.

According to data from the exchange, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by Comelf plus 5.58 percent, Transgaz plus 4.09 percent and Patria Bank plus 3.54 percent.

On the other hand, shares in Armatura minus 14.12 percent, Grupul Industrial Electrocontact minus 12.96 percent and the Santierul Naval Orsova minus 4.19 percent were down. AGERPRES
