Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on most indices in Wednesday’s trading session, with turnover amounting to 4.48 million lei (880,487 euros) after the first 40 minutes of trading.

The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.12%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, also rose 0.14%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most traded shares, registered a gain of 0.09%, and the BET-BK, a benchmark index used by investment funds, was up 0.08%.

The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of financial investment companies (SIFs), was down 0.23%, whereas the BET-NG, which includes the 10 most important companies in the energy and utilities sector, rose 0.30%.

The BET AeRO index, which comprises 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, recorded a notable increase of 2.62%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price gains were posted by Green Tech International (+6.43%), Impact Developer & Contractor (+2.13%) and Longshield Investment Group SA (+1.32%).

On the other hand, the most significant declines were seen in Sinteza (-4.55%), Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited (-1.7%) and Alumil Rom Industry (-1.62%) shares. AGERPRES
