Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on Wednesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Wednesday, with the trading turnover amounting to 5.4 million lei (1.06 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.

The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered an increase of 0.77%, while the BET-Plus index, showing the evolution of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, rose 0.72%.

Additionally, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.69%, while the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, appreciated 0.67%.

The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded a gain of 0.12%, and BET-NG, the index of 10 energy and utilities companies, advanced 0.87%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.09%.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by Artego (+5.69%), Electrica (+4.99%) and Romcarbon (+3.13%).

On the other hand, shares of Sinteza (-14.95%), Comcm (-8.07%) and Conpet (-7.44%) were down.
