The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Wednesday, with turnover slightly exceeding 4 million lei (approximately 805,189 euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.41%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, showed a similar gain to the main index.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most traded stocks, rose by0.42%, while the BET-BK index, used as a benchmark by investment funds, increased 0.36%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) posted a gain of 0.54%, while the BET-NG index, tracking the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced 0.59%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.39%.
According to BVB data, the largest gains in share value were recorded by AETA (+14.79%), Open-End Investment Fund ETF BET BRK (+8.87%) and Patria Bank (+5.58%).
On the other hand, declines were recorded by Romcab (-6.21%), Santierul Naval Orsova (-2.79%) and Mecanica Fina (-1.64%).
