Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on Wednesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Wednesday, with turnover amounting to 4.47 million lei (879,819 euro) after thirty minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which shows the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.26 percent, and the BET Plus index, which tracks the 43 most liquid shares on the exchange, recorded an increase of 0.24 percent.

The extended blue chip index BET XT, of the 25 most liquid securities, gained 0.20 percent, while the benchmark for investment funds, BET BK, increased by 0.27 percent.

The BET FI index of the financial investment companies recorded a decrease by 0.16 percent, and BET NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, registered an advance of 0.15 percent.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was up 0.58 percent.

According to data from the BVB, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by SIF Hoteluri (+4.95 percent), Altur (+4.51 percent) and Sinteza (+2.17 percent).

The biggest declines were seen in Condmag (-3.70 percent), Bittnet Systems (-2.37 percent) and Carbochim (-0.93 percent). AGERPRES
