Bucharest Stock Exchange opens in the red on Thursday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s session lower, transactions amounting to 5.12 million lei (1 million euros) 30 minutes into the session.

The main BET index, which shows the development of the 20 most liquid companies, went slightly down by 0.01%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the development of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, saw a 0.03% decrease.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, stagnated, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, was up 0.02%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs depreciated by 0.03%, while BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased by 0.04% after 30 minutes since the opening of transactions.

BETAeRO, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, went up 0.30%.

According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Bittnet Systems Bucharest (+1.53%), Transport Trade Services (+1.17%) and IAR Braşov (+1.07%).

On the other hand, the shares of Armatura (-14.57%), AAGES (-4.48%) and Condmag (-3.57%) were decreasing. AGERPRES
