Bucharest Stock Exchange opens lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session with a turnover of 3.7 million lei (748,300 euros), after 35 minutes of trading.

The main index BET, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a depreciation of 0.06%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares of the BVB, registered a decrease of 0.05%.

At the same time, the broad blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.08%, while the benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 0.15%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs was down 0.24% and BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, fell 0.25%.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by Digi (+1.29%), Rompetrol Well Services (+1.27%) and SSIF BRK Financial Group (+1.22%).

On the other hand, Electrica (-4.64%), Ropharma (-2.15%) and Simtel Team (-1.12%) were down.
