Bucharest Stock Exchange opens lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s session lower, with turnover standing at 1.49 billion lei (293.7 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading, of which share transactions accounted for 2.844 million lei and bond transactions for 1.49 billion lei.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was down 0.11%, while the BET-Plus index, which reflects the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, fell 0.12%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, declined 0.11%, while BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund returns, slipped 0.02%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs was flat, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded a decline of 0.24%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was down 0.31%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Electromagnetica (+2.70%), Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (+1.35%) and Rompetrol Well Services (+1.34%).

On the other hand, shares of Green Tech International (-3.56%), Aeta (-3.23%) and Patria Bank (-2.50%) were among the decliners. AGERPRES
