Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Monday’s trading session with gains across most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s trading session with gains across most indices, with a turnover of RON 8.1 million (approximately EUR 1.59 million) recorded after the first 45 minutes of trading.

The main index BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, rose by 0.44%, while the BET-Plus index, which reflects the evolution of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, increased by 0.41%.

Similarly, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, was up 0.40%, and the BET-BK, the benchmark index for investment funds, gained 0.60%.

In contrast, the BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of the Financial Investment Companies (SIFs), edged down 0.09%, while the BET-NG index, which includes 10 companies from the energy and utilities sector, slipped by 0.02%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.21%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were posted by Aeta (+15%), MedLife (+7.15%), and Ropharma (+3.53%).

Conversely, the biggest declines were seen in VranCart – by 2.92%, Electromagnetica – by 2.59%, and SSIF BRK Financial Group – by 2.20%.
