The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s session on the rise on most indices, with turnover accounting for 2.48 million RON (500,041 euros), 30 minutes into the trading.
The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, saw an appreciation of 0.50%, and the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, recorded an increase of 0.49%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.35%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, appreciated by 0.15%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs recorded an increase of 0.16%, and BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded an advance of 0.35%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was down by 0.33%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Rompetrol Well Services (+2.49%), Electrica (+1.89%) and Biofarm (+1.76%).
On the other hand, shares of Romcab (-7.61%), Altur (-4.55%) and Rompetrol Rafinare (-2.21%) were down.
