Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Thursday’s session lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s session lower on all indices, with the turnover reaching 2.6 billion lei (524.22 million euros) after 40 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a depreciation of 0.70%, while the BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on BVB, showed a decrease of 0.66%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.66%, while the performance benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 0.86%.

The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of the SIFs (Financial Investment Companies), showed a decrease of 0.55%, and the BET-NG index, representing the 10 companies from the energy and utilities sector, recorded a drop of 0.51%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.55%.

According to BVB data, the highest gains in stock value were registered by Alumil Rom Industry (+1.92%), Biofarm (+1.39%), and Bittnet Systems Bucharest (+1.29%).

On the other hand, the stocks of Sinteza (-10.34%), Prebet Aiud (-5.77%), and Rompetrol Rafinare (-4.23%) were in decline.
