The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s trading session with mixed results, and the turnover amounted to 6.42 million lei (approximately 1.27 million euros) after the first 45 minutes of trading.
The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a 0.03% increase, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the top 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, was up 0.04%.
Meanwhile, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the top 25 most liquid stocks, dropped 0.05%, and the BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund returns, declined 0.13%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks financial investment companies (SIFs), depreciated 0.74%, while the BET-NG index, representing 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, rose by 0.05% after 45 minutes of trading.
The BETAeRO index, covering 20 representative companies from the AeRO market (dedicated to SMEs), saw a decline of 0.32%.
According to BVB data, the biggest gains were recorded by Condmag (+11.11%), Altur (+6.82%) and Romcab (+4.57%).
On the other hand, the biggest declines were seen in Sinteza (-5.38%), Santierul Naval Orsova (-3.47%) and Longshield Investment Group SA (-3.02%).
