Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Tuesday’s session higher

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session higher on most indices, with turnover amounting to 38.76 million lei (EUR 7.6 million) 40 minutes into the session.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 1.20%, while the BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, saw a 1.16% increase.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid stocks, advanced by 1.12%, whereas the investment fund benchmark BET-BK gained 0.61%.

The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) posted a 0.10% decline, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, rose by 1.54%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Rompetrol Rafinare (+14.46%), Artego (+7.84%) and Romcarbon (+6.83%).

On the other hand, shares in Compania Energopetrol (-14.97%), Turbomecanica (-4.14%) and Condmag (-3.85%) were trading lower.
