Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Wednesday’s session in the red

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) started the Wednesday session down on all indices, and BET, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a depreciation of 1.95%, after the first 35 minutes from the start of transactions, according to Agerpres.

The BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 37 most liquid stocks from BVB, fell by 1.88%, while the BET-FI index of SIFs was down by 0.70%. BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, registered a depreciation of 2.64%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid titles, recorded a decline of 1.75%, and the yield benchmark of investment funds, BET-BK, lost 1.19% of its value.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was down by 0.41%, 35 minutes after the opening of the stock market session.

The total value of the exchanges amounted to 18.38 million RON (3.73 million euros).

According to BVB, the biggest increases were recorded by UAMT (+9.78%), Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (2.86%) and Altur (+1.92%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of OMV Petrom (-3.51%), Romgaz (-3.50%) and Patria Bank (-2.51%).
