The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) had a mixed opening on Monday, with trading reaching over 1.32 billion lei (260.87 million euros) 45 minutes after the start, driven by bond transactions.
The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a 0.03% decrease, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the top 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, was down 0.05%.
Meanwhile, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the top 25 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.10%, and the BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund returns, went up 0.06%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks financial investment companies (SIFs), increased by 1%, while the BET-NG index, representing 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, rose by 0.14%.
The BETAeRO index, covering 20 representative companies from the AeRO market (dedicated to SMEs), registered an increase of 0.48%.
According to BVB data, the biggest gains were recorded by Sinteza (+14.84%), Promateris (+5.93%) and Altur (+4.51%).
On the other hand, the biggest declines were seen in Armatura (-14.48%), SIF Hoteluri (-6.48%) and Romcab (-4.29%). AGERPRES
