The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session on the rise and a turnover of RON 6.99 million (1.4 million euros) 30 minutes into business.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, picked up 0.72 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares opened 0.69 percent higher.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers opened 0.58 percent up, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK advanced 0.35 percent.
The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies dipped 0.12 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG rose 0.98 percent.
According to the BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were Comelf (+3.60 percent), Ropharma (+2.66 percent), and OMV Petrom (+2.14 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Mecanica Ceahlau (-10.92 percent), Prebet (-2.79 percent), and Alumil Rom Industry (-1.78 percent).
