Bucharest stock market opens higher on Tuesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session with almost all indices on the rise, and with 3.51 million RON (729,339 euros) worth of transactions performed after the start of trades, according to Agerpres.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, rose 0.86 percent, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 37 shares went up 0.81 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers increased 0.72 percent, and the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK gained 0.58 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies decreased 0.41 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG rose 1.17 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market inched up 0.39 percent.

According to BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were Tourism, Hotels, Restaurants Great Black Sea (8.68 percent), TTS – Transport Trade Services (3.33 percent) and Farmaceutica Remedia (2.89 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Romcab (-7.47 percent), Vrancart (-2.76 percent) and Transelectrica (-2.16% percent).
