Bucharest stock market opens Monday’s trading session in the red

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s trading session with almost all indices going down and with RON 9.29 million (EUR 1.87 million) worth of transactions performed in the first hour after the start of trades.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dipped 0.26 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares was also down 0.25 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers lost 0.21 percent, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK slid 0.05 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies opened up 0.55 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG was down 0.35 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market was down 0.29 percent.

According to BVB, the top three risers were Mecanica Ceahlau (+10.78 percent), Rompetrol Rafinare (+3.45 percent), and Infinity Capital Investments (+3 percent).

Conversely, the top three fallers were Prebet (-3.31 percent), Altur (-2.50 percent), and Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (-1.67 percent).
