The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session on the rise and a turnover of RON 34.76 million (EUR 6.98 million) 35 minutes into business.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, picked up 0.39 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares opened 0.40 percent higher.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers opened 0.38 percent up, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK advanced 0.18 percent.
The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies dipped 0.10 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG rose 0.37 percent.
According to the BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were UCM Resita (+14.78 percent), Electroaparataj (+7.95 percent), and Romgaz (+4.94 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Socep (-4.48 percent), Conpet (-3.92 percent), and Turbomecanica (-1.55 percent).
