The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session with almost all indices going down and with RON 9.1 million (EUR 1.8 ml) worth of transactions performed in the first 35 minutes after the start of trades.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dipped 0.12 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares was also down by 0.13 percent.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers lost 0.14 percent, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK dropped 0.25 percent.
The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies was 0.24 percent down in the opening, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG was 0.16 percent up.
According to BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were the Orsova Shipyard (+4.76 percent), Turism Felix (+4.76 percent), and Vrancart (+2.07 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were the Black Sea tourism company TRH Marea Neagra (-5.91 percent), Rompetrol Well Services (-5.71 percent), and Medlife (-2.88 percent).
