Bucharest stocks close lower on Thursday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Tuesday’s trading session with almost all indices in the red and 65 million RON (13.5 million euros) worth of transactions. The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dipped 0.01 percent to 13,256.21 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares inched up 0.01 percentage points, write Agerpres.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.11 percent lower, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK fell 0.16 percent. The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies dipped 0.09 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG closed 0.68 percent lower.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market lost 0.23 percent. The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Banca Transilvania with 13.88 million RON, followed by Fondul Proprietatea with 12.19 million RON worth of trading, and Nuclearelectrica with 8.04 million RON.

According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Electroarges (+12 percent), Prefab (+5.33 percent), and Nuclearelectrica (+3.18 percent). Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Napoca Construction Company (-9.20 percent), Romcab (-6.28 percent), and Teraplast (-5.22 percent).
