Bucharest stocks declining in trading session opening

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session with declines across most indices, with the turnover amounting to 4.34 million lei (856,882 euro) after 30 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a depreciation of 0.02%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, fell 0.01%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, remained flat, while the BET-BK index – the benchmark for investment fund returns – depreciated 0.08%.

The BET-FI index of the Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) recorded a drop of 0.72%, while the BET-NG index, which covers 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, registered a slight increase of 0.04%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.56%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Simtel Team (+3.33%), Compa (+2.03%) and Premier Energy PLC (+1.45%).

On the other hand, the most significant declines were seen in shares of Roca Industry Holdingrock (-4.41%), Bermas (-3.1%) and Longshield Investment Group (-2.36%).
