Bucharest stocks gain more than 2 billion RON in capitalization over January 23-27

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained more than 2 billion RON in capitalization, or 1.12pct, this week, with trading value decreasing by 39 pct, compared to the previous week, the data published by BVB on Sunday, consulted by Agerpres, read.

The stock market capitalization reached 210,674 billion RON, between January 23 and 23, 2023, up from 208,338 billion RON, between January 16 and 20, 2022.

Stock transactions generated a turnover of 102,958 million RON, down from 132,628 million RON, in the previous week.

The best trading day at BVB was Monday, January 23, when a turnover of 132.628 million RON was recorded, and the worst day, Friday, January 27, with a transaction value of 24,473 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 12,185.79 points.

OMV’s shares were the most liquid securities on the BVB’s main segment, with transactions of 21,937 million RON and a price increase of 1.47 pct.

In the top of transactions are Banca Transilvania titles, with transactions of 17.792 million RON (-1.95pct) and Med Life – with 12.774 million RON (3.07 pct).

The most important increases in quotations were registered by UAMT (+13.19 pct), Aquila Part Prod Com (+10.85 pct) and Comelf (+8.55 pct).

At the opposite pole, important decreases were recorded by the shares of Grupul Industrial Electrocontact, with a decline of 14.29pct, followed by those of Prefab (-9.68pct) and Oil Terminal (-7.19 pct).
