Bucharest stocks higher in session opening

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s session higher, with turnover amounting to 6.25 million lei (1.23 million euros) 30 minutes after the start of trading.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up by 0.10%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, recorded a similar increase.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, also gained 0.10%, while BET-BK, the benchmark index for investment funds’ returns, rose 0.20%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs recorded an increase of 0.11%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced by 0.17%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up by 0.02%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Armatura (+12.4%), Altur (+4.51%) and the Globinvest Energy Financials ETF Open-End Investment Fund (+2.59%).

On the other hand, shares of Oil Terminal (-1.77%), SSIF BRK Financial Group (-1.4%) and Sphera Franchise Group (-1.05%) were down. AGERPRES
