Bucharest stocks in the red in trading session opening

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened in the red across all indices on Wednesday, with the turnover reaching 8.9 million lei (1.8 million euro) 30 minutes after the start of trading.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decline of 1.01%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, posted a decrease of 1.03%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which represents the 25 most liquid titles, lost 0.91%, while the benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 0.81%.

The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of the SIFs, recorded a decrease of 0.40%, while the BET-NG index, representing the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, fell 0.72%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.33%.

According to BVB data, the biggest gains in stock value were recorded by Artego (+5.26%), Sinteza (+5.22%), and Vrancart (+2.5%).

On the other hand, the biggest losses were seen in the stocks of Condmag (-10%), Chimcomplex (-5.14%), and Prebet (-2.88%).
