Bucharest stocks win 1.1 billion RON in capitalisation this week

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) earned 1.125 billion RON in capitalization, 0.63pct, this week, and the value of transactions with shares increased by 7.32pct, compared to the previous week, Agerpres reports.

According to the data published by BVB, consulted by AGERPRES, the market capitalization reached 178.435 billion RON, between 24 and 28 October 2022, from 177.309 billion RON in the week of 17 to 21 October 2022.

Transactions with shares generated a turnover of 72.694 million RON, up from 67.735 million RON in the previous week.

The best trading day at the BVB was Monday, 24 October, when there was a turnover of 17.202 million RON, and the worst day, Thursday, 27 October, with a transaction value of 12.625 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 10,835.92 points.

OMV Petrom shares were the most liquid securities on the main segment of the BVB, generating transactions of 14.432 million RON and an increase in the price by 5.12pct.

In the transactions ranking there are also the securities of Banca Transilvania, with exchanges of 12.518 million RON (1.73pct) and the shares of Fondul Proprietatea, with transactions of 11.638 million RON (-2.99pct).

The most important increases in quotations were registered by the shares of Rompetrol Well Services (+21.57pct), Aerostar (+14.84pct) and Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+14pct).

On the other hand, important decreases were recorded by Carbochim shares (-10.71pct), followed by those of UCM Resita (-10.37pct) and Comcm Constanta (-7.87pct).
