In the latest edition of ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) achieved a notable milestone: 1st place nationally and a global ranking between 201-300 in Economics.

According to a statement released by ASE on Tuesday, this marks a significant improvement from last year’s placement in the 301 – 400 bracket, underscoring the growing international visibility and impact of the university’s economic research.

The ranking, internationally recognized for its rigorous methodology, evaluates over 2,000 universities from around 100 countries using objective indicators of research quality, academic impact, and global collaboration.

„ASE’s performance confirms its status as a leading institution in economic research in Romania and a competitive presence on the international academic stage,” the cited source states. AGERPRES
