Capital and 27 other localities – affected by hydrometeorological phenomena

Published on

The Capital and 27 other localities have been affected by hydrometeorological phenomena over the past 24 hours, the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) announced on Friday.

„As a result of hydrometeorological events occurring from Thursday at 10:00 until Friday at 10:00, effects were recorded in 27 localities across seven counties – Braila, Constanta, Dolj, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Teleorman – and the municipality of Bucharest,” the quoted source reported.

Intervention teams acted to evacuate water from one flooded house and four flooded yards, to remove 107 fallen trees, one advertising board and four detached construction elements. A total of 100 vehicles were also reported damaged, DSU points out.

Weather and hydrological warnings remain in effect, and DSU continues to advise the public to exercise caution and follow the instructions of the authorities. AGERPRES
