CFR Calatori supplements number of trains that will run to seaside during May 1 mini-holiday

Published on

CFR Calatori will provide, between April 25/26 and May 4/5, 2025, in addition to the existing trains in the regular traffic schedule, several connections to Constanta and the seaside resorts, including Mangalia, with direct trains from Bucharest North, Suceava, Iasi, Buzau, Oradea.

According to a company press release, on the occasion of the May 1st mini-vacation, which is traditionally spent on the Romanian seaside, travelers from other regions of the country also have a series of fast connections from the Capital, thanks to the existence of a regular train service (every 1-2 hours) on the Bucharest North – Constanta route and return.

„On days with increased traffic during the May 1st mini-holiday, CFR Calatori makes available to the traveling public the maximum transport capacity, technically available, to ensure travel to areas of interest located throughout the country. Passenger traffic will be carefully monitored and, depending on the evolution and dynamics of transport demand, the company will promptly supplement the trains that run to/from the most requested destinations with wagons within the limits of the technically available rolling stock fleet,” the document reads.

In order to have predictability of transport demand and to be able to best adapt transport capacity to the number of seats requested, CFR Calatori recommends that passengers purchase their travel tickets as early as possible.

Domestic travel passes can be purchased in advance, with passengers benefiting from discounts of up to 10%.
