The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, declared on Wednesday that under the leadership of Mark Rutte, NATO reaffirms its strength, unity and ability to act quickly in the face of challenges.

„Today we received the visit of NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, at an important moment for European security and for Romania. We discussed the consolidation of the allied presence on the Eastern Flank, the new threats with drones and, especially, the European Maritime Security Hub that we propose in the Black Sea, a project with strategic impact for the entire Alliance. We have demonstrated on countless occasions that we are a serious and respected partner in NATO, ready to offer stability, solutions and initiative”, Grindeanu wrote on Facebook.

He added that under Mark Rutte’s leadership „NATO is reaffirming its strength, unity and ability to act quickly in the face of challenges”.

„I appreciate his balanced leadership and direct, results-oriented approach, values that we share. Romania remains an important pillar of security for Europe”, Grindeanu stressed.
