The nominal value of a meal ticket can be no more than 45 RON, according to a draft law adopted on Tuesday by the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies.

„The nominal value of a meal ticket cannot exceed 45 RON,” stipulates an amendment introduced to the Chamber of Deputies to this bill.

Another article provides that, in the situation where daycare vouchers cannot be issued electronically, their value is paid directly by the employer to the daycare or similar entity in which the employee’s child is enrolled.

Initially, the draft law provided that starting with January 1, 2024, the nominal value of a meal ticket cannot exceed 40 RON.

The legislative initiative was also adopted by the Senate, and the Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body in this case.AGERPRES
