Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Catalin Predoiu, as well as all those who contributed to the „success” of Tuesday’s anti-drug operation.

The Prime Minister mentioned, at the beginning of the government meeting, that in the coming period, actions and anti-drug policies will be promoted in educational institutions.

„It is a clear signal that we are starting to destroy the large drug trafficking networks. In parallel, together with the Minister of Education, I will promote anti-drug and prevention actions and policies in educational institutions. Together with Minister Dr. Rafila, we are focusing on the intervention in the health area and the recovery of those who, unfortunately, go through this trauma. In particular, as you well know, many young people,” said Ciolacu.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Catalin Predoiu, added that the actions of MAI and the Romanian Police to combat drug trafficking and organized crime groups will continue.

„Yesterday’s operation and the ones that will follow are not coincidences. We have been acting structured and planned for months and will continue for an indefinite period. We have allocated priority in the previous months and will continue to allocate logistical, financial and human resources for this fight. The police Romania, the Border Police, the Gendarmerie are trained and will continue to give a firm and tough response to organized crime, drug and human trafficking, respecting all legal provisions. Law and order for a long time. Drugs and clans can be defeated, but through national effort, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will do its part,” the minister pointed out.
