Ciucă: I did not say that AUR is an extremist party

Published on

PNL President Nicolae Ciucă dropped a real political bombshell on Anca Alexandrescu’s show on Realitatea Plus, removing AUR from the list of extremist parties, writes inpolitics.ro.

Asked if there is any party with which he would not accept to make a political alliance, including at local level, Nicolae Ciucă answered that PNL would never ally with an extremist party. However, asked if this meant that he would not consider AUR for an alliance, Nicolae Ciucă delivered the nuance: „I did not say that AUR is an extremist party”.

Marcel Ciolacu, on the other hand, in the same broadcast, said a categorical no to an alliance with AUR.

Political „nuances” are beginning to appear, reminding us of the famous case of 2004, when Mircea Geoană announced after the first round of the presidential elections that the PSD would not accept the PRM votes for Adrian Nastase, while Băsescu and the DA alliance remained silent and won the Cotroceni.
