Hydrologists issued on Monday morning Code Orange flood warnings for rivers in Harghita, Mures, Covasna, Neamt, Bacau and Vrancea counties.

According to the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA), as a result of the forecast and propagation rainfall recorded in the last hours, major flashes down the slopes, torrents and streams, rapid water build-ups on small rivers with possible local flooding effects and significant flow increases past the danger levels may occcur on the riversbasins of : Mures, Olt, Bistrita, Trotus, Putna.

The hydrological warnings are valid until 12:00 on Monday.
