Nearly 40 firefighter interventions took place in the Capital and Ilfov County in the context of the Code Orange weather warning for strong winds, with over 20 cars damaged in Bucharest, Bucharest-Ilfov Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISUBIF) announced on Friday morning.
„As a result of the meteorological phenomena occurring during the orange warning, strong wind intensifications, between 02.10.2025, 20:00 and 03.10.2025, 06:00, ISUBIF firefighters handled 36 interventions in Bucharest and Ilfov,” the quoted source informed.
Thus, 28 cases were recorded in Bucharest: 20 for fallen trees (which led to damage to 23 vehicles); 3 for detached construction elements; 5 for affected electrical cables.
In Ilfov, there were 8 interventions: 7 for fallen trees; 1 for a detached construction element.
As a result of the weather phenomena, interventions are still ongoing in:
*Magurele, Ilfov County, Atomistilor Street – detached construction elements
*Novaci Street – tree at risk of falling
*Calinesti Alley – fallen tree on the roadway
*Resita Street – tree fallen on a vehicle
