The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a Code Yellow warning for temporarily intensified atmospheric instability, valid until Saturday morning across the entire country, along with a weather advisory for showers and storms, which will remain in effect until Monday evening.
According to meteorologists, during the interval from May 23 at 10:00 AM to May 24 at 6:00 AM, a Yellow Code will be in effect for: torrential downpours, frequent lightning, wind gusts and storms (gusts of 50-70 km/h), local hail.
Additionally, water accumulation will range between 15-25 l/sqm, and in some areas, totals may reach 30-50 l/sqm.
Furthermore, from Friday morning until Monday, May 26 at 8:00 PM, a general weather advisory is in place for atmospheric instability. This will include: heavy downpours, thunderstorms, wind intensification (gusts generally 40-50 km/h), storms and hail.
Rainfall may reach 25-35 l/sqm in short periods, and locally may exceed 50-70 l/sqm.
